A graveside service for Ed Lewis, 87, of Decatur was Wed., March 4, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Lewis died Mon., March 2, 2015, at River City Center. He was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Ohio to Gus Lewis and Demi Adkins Lewis. He was retired from the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Danny Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ratcliff Lewis; a son, Eddie Lewis (Anita); a daughter, Dianne Wallace (Don); a brother, Robert Lewis; a sister, Elberta Rucker, three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
