James “Jimmy” Samuel Wright

A memorial service for James “Jimmy” Samuel Wright, 74, of Somerville will be Sat., Dec. 27, at 3 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Earl Holt and Kenneth Gillespie officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wright died Sun., Dec. 21, 2014, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski, Tenn. He was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Davidson County, Tenn., to Silas Lee Wright and Glennie Margaret McCord Wright. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960-1964, was a graduate of Morgan County High School and a graduate of Auburn University. He was an amateur radio enthusiast- call sign KD4umq. He was preceded in death by a brother, Silas L. Wright Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Wright of Somerville; a son, Jamey (Laura) Wright of Somerville; a daughter, Amanda (Bill) Gillespie of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two brothers, John (Dean) Wright of Tampa, Fla. and Glenn (Dagny) Wright of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Michael Kirkland, Corey and Alan Wright, Ellie, Emma and Sam Gillespie.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
