Falkville First Baptist hosts Thanksgiving meal at church

Eating Thanksgiving supper with Don and Willodean Blankenship were all of their children and grandchildren, Keith and Melanie Blankenship, Shelley, Samatha and Travis, Greg and Kim Boggs and Coli, Joey and Kelli Krieger, Luke and Brandon.

First Baptist Church Falkville hosted a Thanksgiving meal at the church. Thirty-five to 40 people dined on a variety of meats, vegetables and desserts.

Members of the Falkville High School Class of 1957 met for church Nov. 18, at Mister Henry’s Restaurant in Hartselle. The class was pleased to have former English teacher Elsie Culbreath and her husband join them.

Those attending and enjoying the fellowship were Arthur Ray Summerford and wife Barbara, Geraldine Cloer Holmes and husband Wendell, Edward Higdon and wife Merle, Katie Sue Hardin, Ola Mar Wright Coleman, Jane Minter Padgett and husband Bill, Joe Murphy, Bobby Glenn Staples, John Knight, Marlon Tapscott and wife Laura, Lois Nell Williams Pickens and husband Billy Joe.

The class plans to have lunch again on March 31, 2015, at Mister Henry’s.

Members of the class of 1952 at Falkville High School met at  Libby’s Restaurant in Priceville for breakfast. Those enjoying the good fellowship and food were Kenneth and Betty Harpe, Scott and Betty Parker, Howard and Helen Gibson, Ray and Betty Sanders, Sarah Gaines and Shirley Cooper.

Old Cook Stove Restaurant at Massey was the setting for a Thanksgiving lunch for members of Falkville Senior Center. Among those attending this meal and fellowship were Martha Asherbranner, Bobby and Linda Ball, Carol Cole, Terry and Jenny Kelsey, Judy McCellan, Robert Morris, Vivian Summerford, Charles and Linda Williams, Barbara Asherbranner and Jackie Turney.

Sunday service times at Fairview: the Grace Place, located at 4154 Huckaby Bridge Road, Falkville are: Small Group and Discipleship 9 a.m.; (see info. Central for Adults and Youth/GP 56), Children Enrichment and Clubs 9 a.m.; Launch Pad, Worship Service 10 a.m., GP 56 after worship service in Media Room; Small Groups 6 p.m.; GP 656 and Youth, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday service at 6:30 p.m.
