The top-ranked team in Class 4A will be returning the North Super Regional this weekend, after the Danville Lady Hawks swept Haleyville 25-13, 25-11, 25-10 at home in the Area 14 tournament.

Leading the way for the Lady Hawks (44-11) was tournament MVP Sydni Shelton with 14 kills. Other Danville players named to the all-tournament team included Charlee Anderson (26 assists and 5 digs), Kellee Stiles (11 digs and 4 digs) and Jada Harris.

Others stat leaders included MiKayla Koins with 6 kills, Courtney Watts with 5 kills and a block and Alexis Snow with 6 digs.

Since Danville was in a three-team area, The Lady Hawks automatically advanced to the area finals because they won the regular season.

The Lady Hawks will play Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. at the Von Braun Center against Saks, who lost to Jacksonville 3-0 in the Area 11 finals.
