Brewer storms to Big Blue title

FLORETTE – Jordan Bowling scored 63 points in three games to help send Brewer to the championship in the Big Blue Classic last week.
The Patriots beat Danville 60-46 on the tournament’s final day to finish with a 3-0 mark.
The tournament was played in just two days because of weather problems, forcing Brewer to play twice Wednesday.
The Patriots improved to 12-4 overall with the win.
Jordan Bowling scored 23 points and Taylor Bowling added 16 points to spark the win over Danville.
Danville’s Erick Cordova finished with a team-high 15 points. Dillon Childers added eight points for the Hawks in the loss.
Brewer’s win was its 11th in its last 12 games.
Brewer 65, East Limestone 58
Jordan Bowling scored 28 points in the Patriots’ victory over East Limestone in the first round of the tournament Tuesday.
Taylor Bowling added 10 points for Brewer in the win.
East Limestone got 12 points each from Tyler Malone and Justin Smith.
Brewer 44, Fairview 40
Jordan Bowling had 12 points and Hunter Bramlett added 11 points to lead Brewer to its second win in a span of just over five hours.
Jordan Bowling also was credited with eight rebounds and six blocks against the Aggies.
Taylor Bowling chipped in 10 points for the Patriots.
West Point Christmas Invitational
West Point 69, Priceville 60
John Hawkins scored a team-high 18 points in Priceville’s 69-60 loss to West Point last week in the West Point Christmas Invitational.
Wesley Baker chipped in 13 points for Priceville in the loss.
Holly Pond 64, Priceville 52
John Hawkins scored 24 points and Simon Meier added 15 points as Priceville fell to Holly Pond in a consolation game in the West Point tournament.
