Ida Borden

Funeral for Ida Borden, 79, of Danville will be Sun., Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denzel Borden and Bishop Kenn Borden-Burrow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Oct. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Borden died Wed., Oct. 8, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born May 5, 1935, in Michigan to Lynford Stout McMeekan and Iva Francis Pennels McMeekan. She was a homemaker and preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Karen Borden James; and a brother, Junior McMeekan.

She is survived by her husband, Burse Borden; a son, Kenn Borden-Burrow (Theresa); three daughters, Linda Borden Wright (Bradley), Victoria Borden Honda (Ron) and Colleen Borden (Stan); a brother, Roger McMeekan (Jean); 10 grandchildren; and16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry McMeekan, Darryl Turney, Burse Boes, Tony Boes, Jeff Turney and Lisa (Dooley) Doorlag.
