Local officials including Mayor Don Hall and Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson are planning to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge tonight during Hartselle’s opening football game of the season against Pinson Valley.

Wilson said HHS principal Jeff Hyche, four of the five board members, new basketball coach Faron Key and others are planning to take the challenge, as well.

“It’s going to be a big group of us,” Wilson said. “Hopefully, it will feel good tonight since it’s supposed to be hot.”

The officials were challenged by the Les Amies Soriety, who is currently raising money for ALS.
