Telemarketers get creative

Dear Editor,

Of course, we have always gotten telemarketing calls, calls for lower interest rate, or whatever. We have been getting way too many lower interest rate calls. These calls usually show up as unknown, private number, etc.

Now they have gotten a local number and name. We have received several calls that show up a local number and it is them offering lower interest.

We have called the number back and it rings numerous times, then a woman, identifies herself as a Hartselle and asks you to leave a message. We have chosen option 1 and spoke to a person. We have mashed the number to be taken off list. We have tried all ways.

It is just really annoying that they can get a phone number this way. Can this be investigated?

Are others getting the same calls? It is just really strange.
