Townwide singing set for Sunday

A community wide “singspiration”  will be held at First Baptist Church Falkville  on June 29 at 6 p.m. Light refreshments (desserts) will be served in the fellowship hall after the singing. For more information, call 256-784-5827.

Janet Woods celebrated her birthday with her husband, Donnie. and children at Logan’s Restaurant in Decatur.

Aaron Smith and Harlie Hale were married June 7 at Mill Creek Baptist Church. Parents of the bridegroom are Jimmy and Jennifer Smith and parents of the bride are David and Wendy Hale. David Halbrooks sang at the wedding.

Birthday wishes are sent to Bonnie Thompson on June 23, Judy Gover on June 25, Phyllis Teague and Linda Bryan, both on June 26, Jennie Foote on June 28 and Linda Alldredge on June 30 from members of First Baptist Church.

A Summer Jam in the Country will be held June 21, from 4 to 9 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church. The benefit  is given for the North Alabama Disaster Relief Warehouse. Activities will include a cookout, face painting, bake sale and live music. The church is located at 2795 Hwy. 55 west at Massey.
