Marie Williams

A graveside service for Marie Williams, 79, of Eva will be Fri., June 6, at 2 p.m. in Raper Cemetery in Trinity, with Bro. Cletus Allen Gandy officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Fri., June 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams died Wed., June 4, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 19, 1934, in Morgan County to Riley Haney and Christine Isbell Haney. Mrs Williams was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Williams; and her parents.

She is survived by four sons, Howard Shelton of Athens, Jimmy Shelton of Andulsia, Bill Shelton of Haleyville and Grady Williams of Athens; four daughters, Martha Thorton of Mobile, Ruby Wilkerson of Dothan, Betty Bennefield of Eva and Stella Long of Greenbriar; three brothers, Johnny Haney of Kansas, George Haney of Texas and Lonnie Haney of Birmingham; a sister, Helen Haney of Tuscaloosa; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
