Navy hospitalism recruit Gary Orr, grandson of Elimira Marie Orr of Hartselle, recently graduated from the Basic Hospital Corps School at Naval Hospital Corps School, Great Lakes, Ill.
Orr is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School and joined the Navy in 2002.
Navy Seaman Recruit David Drane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Drane of Hartselle, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Drane is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School.
HMC honors military
The staff and administration of Hartselle Medical Center extends its thoughts and prayers to all branches of the armed forces as the United States readies for war. HMC has erected an American flag display on an employee bulletin board near the ER waiting area to recognize family and friends who have been called to active duty. Those being honored are: Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy O. Bowers, husband of Melinda Bowers; Cpl. Timothy A. Girod, son of Kathy Girod; B.J. Wynn, friend of Tina Jones; Brandon W. Hargett, son of Rhonda Hargett and brother of Kristi Hargett; Charles Christopher Jones, nephew of Kathy Girod; Danny W. Whited, nephew of Gail Terry; Nathaniel L. Goodwin, step-son of Kathy White Goodwin; Josh Jones, son of Tina Jones; Joey Schutt, son of Gary Schutt; Brian Hutson, nephew of Sheri Taylor; and Andrew "Andy" Day, nephew of Marcie Bullard.
