Funeral for Glenda Hill Farris, 54, of Red Bay will be Sat., May 17, at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Bill Harper officiating and Deaton Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., May 16, from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay.

Mrs. Farris died Thur., May 15, 2014, at Red Bay Hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1960, in Alabama and was a newspaper editor for 17 years working at the Red Bay News and Hartselle Enquirer. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Hill and Doris Hardin Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Rabon Farris of Red Bay; two sons, Johnathan Tucker (April) of Iuka, Ms. and Josh Tucker (Shannon) of Atlanta, Ga.; one step-son, Jody Farris (Sheri) of Red Bay; five grandchildren; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Todd Gibson, Bryson Farris, Jerry Scott, Greg Gober and Steve Bostick

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HIS Hands & Feet Ministries, First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 616, Red Bay, Al. 35582.
