Car club sets first cruise-in for Saturday
The Bee Line Highway
Classic Cruisers will
sponsor its inaugural
cruise on Sat., April 5,
from 5 to 9 p.m. at the
Moss Audio parking lot
(next to Burger King) on
Vaughn Bridge Road in
Hartselle.
The club was organized
on March 13 at an open
meeting at Sedona
Steakhouse. Elected to a
leadership team were
Michael Gunter, Mike
Childress, Tommie Jones,
Scotty Atkins and Nate
Smith.
The purpose of the group
is to encourage the
restoration and preservation
of antique and other
unique vehicles and to
assist in circumstances of
need in the surrounding
area with benefit car
shows.
Membership is open to
vehicle owners who are
willing to participate voluntarily
and support
planned activities. Vehicle
ownership is not a must
for participation but is
welcomed,” according to
Gunter.
“We’re a Christian-based
organization,” he pointed
out. “No alcoholic beverages
will be allowed at our
assemblies, no loud music
from vehicles and no profanity
or vulgarity at the
events we sponsor.”
