Danville athletes place at Cullman

Dallas McAbee earned a pair of wins in the 100 meters and 200 meters to lead Danville at the Cullman Invitational Saturday.

Brandon McCormick also won the 400 meters.

Danville’s 4x100m relay team of McCormick, McAbee, DJ Batts and Parker Hale took first place.

Batts won the long jump followed by Slater Robinson in second and McCormick in third.

Batts also took home the triple jump crown.

Robinson also added a javelin championship.

Hale was second in the shot put. Chris Mahr was second in the discus.

The 4x400m relay team of Jacob Leonard, McCormick, Hale and Ryan Self was fourth.

The 4x800m relay team of Jacob Ballenger, Kaleb Bolton, Braden Cox and Nick Prater was fifth.

Jacob Leonard took fourth in the boys high jump.

Ryan Boothby was fourth in the 300m hurdles and fifth in the 110m hurdles. McAbee was seventh in the 110m hurdles.

Jonathan Garner earned seventh place in the 3,200 meters.

Haley Bryson placed third in the girls 100-meter dash with 14.81 and seventh in the 200 meters with 31.67.

Esthefany Morales was eighth in the 1600 meters while Mary Frances Shelton was seventh in the 3,200 meters.

Shelby Ziegler took fifth place 100-meter hurdles.

Danville’s girls 4x100m relay team of Erica McDaniel, Kara McLemore, Briley Morris and Bryson took fourth place.

The girls 4x400m relay team of McLemore, Morris, Bryson and Ziegler finished third.

The 4x800m relay team of Kourney Lindsey, Morales, Bethanie Vest and McLemore took third place.
