Berta Nell Simmons

Funeral for Berta Nell Simmons, 76, of Hartselle was Thur., Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Manley and Bro. Stanley Linderman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmons died Tues., Feb. 18, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1937, in Lawrence County to Dee Ledlow and Lula Maude Hensley Ledlow. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Simmons; a son, David Simmons; a daughter, Elaine Adams; a great-grandson, Asa; and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Simmons and Carol Hill (Nathan), both of Hartselle; two sisters, Revean McAbee of Hartselle and Lorene Sandlin of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Lynn Hill and Justin Hill; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxton Adams and Gavin Hill.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
