Hartselle girls advance to finals

Hartselle runs of 14-5 in the second quarter and 10-2 in the third quarter to put away Falkville 45-31.

The win gives the Lady Tigers a berth in the Morgan County Girls Basketball Championship Game Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the new HHS gymnasium.

Riley Terry sparked the first run, hitting a quartet of 3-pointers in the second quarter. She finished with 17 for the game.

Melissa-Paul Hill ended the outburst with a shot at the buzzer, giving Hartselle a 28-18 lead at the half. She added another bucket in the second half.

Allie Roden and Sarah Ellen Battles finished with five each followed by Katie Glasgow with two and Riley Corum with one.

Autumn Eddy led Falkville with 12 while Emily Mickelson had seven. Katelyn Boyer added six followed by Patricia Kilgore with three, Mackenzie Smith with two and McKenzie Newman with one.
