Gentle wins first place in history poster contest

Mary Beth Gentle won first place in a poster contest sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

The Tennessee Valley Chapter covers Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties.

The poster contest theme was “Francis Marion: The Swamp Fox.”

Gentle received $100 and her poster will be entered into the statewide competition in Dothan.

Gentle was honored at a ceremony Mon., Jan. 13, at the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library.
