Ginny Warner

A memorial service for Virginia Warner of Decatur will be Wed., Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Warner died Sat., Jan. 18, 2014, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 18, 1924. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and United Methodist Women’s Leader. She recently relocated to Decatur from Portsmouth, Va. where she was a well-established Real Estate Broker. She was also a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, a past president of the United Methodist Women, past President of the Women’s Club of Portsmouth, and was a member of FUMC Hartselle. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of over 68 years, William “Bill” Allen Warner; daughters, Judy Warner Cocherell of Virginia Beach, Va., Debbie Warner Donahue (Jerry) of Signal Mountain, Tenn. and son, Michael Warner (Mary Jane) of Decatur; five grandchildren, Emily Sineath Boyle, Elizabeth Sineath McEwan, Lindsay Donahue, Katie Warner Asquith and Matthew Warner; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tatum Boyle.
