Priceville boys win junior high title

The Priceville Junior High boys basketball team won the county tournament Saturday at DMS. Priceville Junior High forced 23 turnovers, 13 of which were steals, to turn a tie game at the end of the first quarter into a 47-19 rout of Decatur Heritage in the boys championship of the Morgan County Junior High Basketball Tournament at Danville Middle School Saturday night.

Brandon Speegle and McClain Thompson provided the spark for the Bulldogs. Speegle led the way with 19 points and five steals while Thompson finished with eight points, nine rebounds, seven steals and four assists.

Caleb Martin and Tyler Williams also scored eight points apiece, followed by Brandon Mason with three and Stratton Miller with two.

Decatur Heritage was led by Nathan Lander with eight followed by Jeff Hunter with four, Cosy Long and Trace Lento with three each and Mason Terry with one.
