Boys basketball: Good Hope 58, Danville 48

Danville had trouble cutting into a seven-point halftime deficit, as Good Hope held on to win 58-48 Friday night in a key area game.

After playing to a 13-13 draw in the first quarter, the Raiders outscored Danville 17-10 to take 30-23 lead

The Hawks couldn’t get much closer the rest of the way, as Good Hope earned the area win.

The Hawks fell to 2-2 in area play.

Alan Cordova had 18 in a losing effort followed by Patrick Doherty with 12, Andres Cordova with six, Kyle Alexander and Slater Robinson with five each and Isaiah Moore with two.

Good Hope was led by Andrew Cofer with 20, Eli Marty with 14 and Tyler Vandenberg with nine.
