HHS Drama to present ‘Jingle Bell Mystery’
Hartselle High Drama presents “The Jingle Bell Mystery” in the Hartselle High School Auditorium, Sat., Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. Admission is $3. HCS administration, faculty and staff can get in free.
Lillian (Amberly Anderson) and Molly (Brooke Speegle), the daughters of the late Marshall Cobden, along with their family and friends, gather back at their father’s home on Christmas Eve one year after his death. As stipulated in Mr. Cobden’s will, the last piece of their inheritance — one million dollars in cash — will go to the daughter who exhibits the most Christmas spirit in the next 24 hours. Those around them — including Lillian’s husband (Steven Cleek), Molly’s friends (Krislyn Wood & Tylar Pitt), a local reporter (Sara Winton), the gardener (Rena Walker), the maid (Raegan Howard) and the butler (Chris Anderson) — are to be the judges. But when the lawyer (Ada Pate-Kelley) is knocked out and the money disappears, the guests scramble for answers. Who took the cash? Lillian, the mean, bankrupt sister? Alice, the mysterious gardener with the nine-year-old daughter (Eden Bolan)? Spencer, the butler with the evil laugh? Twists and turns abound until the very end when a lesson is learned and a life is changed… forever.
The backstage, lighting, sound, costumes and set design will be done by John Duncan, Brooke Eaton, Sarah Gurganious, Casey Henderson, Dakota Hill, Quinten Keliinoi, Ariel Richey and Landon Terry.
