HHS wrestlers win dual meet

Hartselle High School’s varsity wrestling team swept a dual meet at Athens Tuesday night, defeating the Golden Eagles, 39-35, and East Limestone, 42-25.

The wins boosted the team’s record to 3-1 on the season.

The Tigers will compete in the Huntsville Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Hartselle wrestlers win two, lose one

Hartselle High School wrestlers opened their season at the Pinson Valley Dual Meet on November 26, losing their first match and winning the next two.

The Tigers lost 20-59 to Pinson Valley while taking a 47-29 decision over Hayden and defeating McAdory 41-36.

They were scheduled to meet Athens and East Limestone in Athens on Tuesday and will participate in the Huntsville Invitational on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. respectively.
