Rotary International donated $2,500 to the John Mark Stallings Special Needs Accessible Playground of Morgan County Tuesday afternoon through its District Simplified Grants program.

The Hartselle Rotary Club has applied for grants over the past seven years, acquiring $22,015 in grants to go with $10,050 in club member donations, $2,150 from the club treasury and $1,875 from a Walmart grant to Rotary.

District Governor Tom Greene said the SNAP project is something that is at the heart of what Rotary does.

“Rotary is about being leaders in the community,” Greene said. “SNAP is an important place to the community.”
