Barkley Bridge Elementary School Principal Susan Hayes has been nominated for the Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators’ National Distinguished Principal Award, representing AAESA’s District one.

Criteria for judging includes a minimum of five years as an active principal, commitment to principalship through active membership in professional organizations, assumes an active role in the community as a leader in civic, religious and humanitarian activities and provides creative leadership to inspire teachers and others to achieve and contribute to the school environment.

Hayes’ nomination will be voted on by a panel of AAESA administrators. She is one of 10 nominees chosen in the state.
