College Street Players set auditions

Auditions will be held at Hartselle Fine Arts Center Sat., Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon for 6 –12 grades and Thur., Nov.  21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 2 – 5 grades. Casting will be for 2nd grade through 12th grade.

This is a musical and principal characters will be cast on vocal strengths as well as character description and stage presence. Please be prepared to sing a brief piece (2 minutes or less) that highlights your vocal range and strengths. Music without vocals is recommended for auditions. Grades 2 – 5 will not have individual singing auditions but will have group auditions where they will sing a song picked by the directors. There are a few non-singing parts that will not require a vocal audition. You will be asked to learn and follow some simple dance steps.

Cast lists will be posted by Sun., Dec. 1, Cast meetings will be Mon., Dec. 2, and Thur., Dec. 5, and the first rehearsal will be Thur., Jan. 2, 2014.
