FBC Falkville has hayride, bonfire

Sunday school services are held at 10 a.m., worship services at 11 a.m. and at 5 p.m. and Prayer meeting and Bible study Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Church, located at Massey. Greg Compton is Mt. Nebo’s minister.

Pam McDonald sends birthday wishes to her nephew, Matthew Asher-branner. His special day will be November 4.

Church members at First Baptist Church Falkville extend birthday wishes to Melissa Rowe and Hadyn Blevins on Oct. 30 and Hal Lee and Jimmy Davis on Oct. 31.

Sunday School teachers and their families at First Baptist Church Falkville were honored with an appreciation luncheon last Sunday after church.

The tables were covered with lace cloths and centered with pumpkins and candle arrangements. Lasagna and salad was served.

First Baptist Church Falkville held a church-wide hayride and bonfire last Sunday night. The event was hosted by Barnabas Sunday School Class.

They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and went on a hayride around town. Eighty people attended this event.

Among those from Falkville Senior Citizen Center going to eat at Cracker Barrel in Hartselle last Thursday were Movlyn Roberson, Vivian Summerford, Barbara Asherbranner, Martha Asherbranner, Terry and Jeannie Kelsey, Bobby and Linda Ball, Faye Anders, Martha Garrison, Judy McClellan, Jake and Patty Pike, Dale Mason, Robert McCaig, Charles and Linda Williams and Jackie Turney.

Adell Gibson wishes her husband, Herman Gibson, a happy birthday. His special day is October 30.

Morgan County School lunch menu for November:

Nov. 1, Homemade chili, cheese toast, pizza, carrots, frozen vegetables, lima beans, goldfish, applesauce, sugar cookie.

Nov. 4, Cheese and pepperoni pizza, baked corndogs, baked sweet potato, frozen vegetables, pinto beans, bananas, animal crackers.

Nov. 5, Spaghetti with meat, hamburger on bun, onion rings, canned vegetables, candied carrots, strawberry.

Nov. 6, Hot wings, yumbo, broccoli with cheese, celery sticks, baked beans, vanilla pudding, pears sliced.

Nov. 7, chicken nuggets, steak patty, brown gravy, potato wedges, canned vegetables, creamy coleslaw, wheat rolls, oranges.

Nov. 8, Chicken and waffle, McRib sandwich, grape tomato, lima beans, frozen vegetables, apple crisp, juice bar, pancake syrup.
