A graveside service for Mrs. Blanche M. Speakman, 84, of Birmingham, was Monday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Moss Chapel Cemetery in Hartselle with Ridout's Roebuck Chapel Funeral Home of Birmingham directing.
Mrs. Speakman died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003. A native of Hartselle, she was a member of Pinson United Methodist Church and sang with Sweet Adelines. She was a retiree from the Social Security Administration. She was the mother of the late Bobby Lee Speakman and John Stanley and Janice Carolyn.
She is survived by one son, Norman D. Speakman of Birmingham; two daughters, Sandra S. Vick of Birmingham and Kathleen S. Vining of Pinson; one sister, Nell Burke of Cullman; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
