No injuries reported in school bus crash

Hartselle school bus No. 08-08 and a four-door sedan collided at the U.S. 31 and Corsbie Street intersection today at approximately 3:20 p.m.

Several students were on the bus but no one was injured, according to Dr. Vic Wilson, superintendent of Hartselle City Schools. The driver and passengers in the car also showed no visible signs of injury.

The bus was headed north after making a pickup at Hartselle Intermediate School. It came to a stop in the median crossover; the car came to a stop in the highway median.

“A backup driver was dispatched to the scene to take over the bus and finish its route,” Wilson stated.

Hartselle Police are investigating the accident.
