Funeral for Maria Yvette Parker Wallace Parker, 67, of Hartselle will be Fri., Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Anthony Patterson, Bro. Frankie Sheats and Bro. Steve Bryan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Cullman County.

Ms. Parker died Tues., Oct. 8, 2013, at her residence. She was born Fri., June 21, 1946, in Cullman County to Clyde Felton Parker and Viola Pearson. She retired from Calhoun Community College as an administrative secretary after 38 years of full time service and four years of part time. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Parker Bukley and husband Ed.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Wallace Maples and husband Dale; a grandson, Avery Maples, who was her doll and pride and joy; a niece, Donna Bukley Burt and husband Dan; great nephews, Dustan and Otto Burt; and a number of cousins and many friends, whom she loved.

Pallbearers were Gary England, Brad Sheats, Johnny Mack Brown, Bobby Ashley, Keith Brown, Rodger Brown, Jim Blankenship and Derrick Blankenship.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
