Falkville Library to hold annual book sale

A birthday party was given at Falkville Senior Center last Friday for those celebrating birthdays in September. They were Movyln Roberson and Jenny Kelsey. The regular menu of the day was served.

Visiting with Herman and Adell Gibson have been Nelda Holmes and Howard and Helen Gibson of Priceville.

First Baptist Church extends belated birthday wishes to Kada Kugler on Sept. 13 and Baylee Lockhart on Sept. 10.

Nathan McDonald celebrated his 13th birthday on Sept. 7 by going camping with his parents, John and Pam McDonald.

Falkville Public Library will conduct its annual book sale at the Falkville Festival Oct. 12. The sale will be held in front of the library starting at 8 a.m. Tote bags filled with books will be offered for $5 each.

Falkville Blue Devils Football team will host Sumiton Christian on Sept. 27. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. Congratulations to the Blue Devils for winning their game against Appalachian. They have now won three games by high scores.

Zac and Michelle Ferrell announce the arrival of their son, Hudson Allen, on Sept. 11. Grandparents are Jimmy Teague and the late Denise Teague and Jerry and Robin Ferrell. He was welcomed home by two big sisters, Abby, seven and Lilly, five.

First Baptist Church Falkville extends happy birthday wishes to Dorothy Lott, Riley Thompson and Sarah Laughmiller on Sept. 25, John Moore, Michelle Ferrell and Kasey Foote on Sept. 26 and Delane McCormick, Daniel Lockhart, Owen Teague and Maggie Mae Halbrooks on Sept. 27.

Fairview the Grace Place will host the Fifth Sunday Singing, Sun., Sept. 29, at 6 p.m.
