Marshall J. Bryan

Funeral for Marshall J. Bryan, 76, of Hartselle was Wed., Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Redmond officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Mr. Bryan died Mon., Sept. 9, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born August 13, 1937, in Morgan County to Jesse Lee Bryan and Hassie Lorene Oden Bryan. Mr. Bryan was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and an usher. He loved gardening and Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wendell Bryan and Orville Bryan.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherry Vest Bryan of Hartselle; a daughter, Kim Bryan Smith and husband Jeff of Priceville; four brothers, Levonis Bryan of Decatur, Alfred Bryan and wife Linda and Billy Bryan and wife Patria, both of Falkville and Keith Bryan and wife Becky of Eva; four sisters, Dean Nelson of Falkville, Peggy Nelson and husband Brownie of Athens, Loy Jones and husband Ron of Birmingham and Reba Pevahouse and husband Arthur of Joppa; a brother-in-law, Gary D. Vest and wife Jewel of Hartselle; a sister-in-law, Sondra Bryan of Eva; two grandchildren, Amber Smith and Austin Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bryan Nelson, Kerry Jones, Tim Nelson, Shane Bryan, Brett Bryan and Joshua Bryan.
