A graveside service for Carol A. Hopper Downing, 67, of Lacey’s Spring will be Tues., Aug. 27, at Valhermoso Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Earl Holt officiating.

Visitation will be Mon., Aug. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Downing was born Jan. 19, 1946 to Lewis L. and Annie Lurleen Hopper in Morgan County. She died Aug. 24, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Downing is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Downing of Lacey’s Spring and Robert M. Downing of Huntsville; two daughters, C. Annette Pittman and Anna Josette Hill, both of Lacey’s Spring; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
