WMU to sponsor ‘Swamp John’s’ dinner

Members of the WMU of First Baptist Church Falkville will sponsor a Swamp John’s dinner at the church, Fri., Aug. 23, from 4 until 7 p.m. Fish, shrimp and chicken dinners will be served. Tickets are $10. Proceeds will go toward local missions.

Birthday wishes are sent to Kathleen Anders Aug. 17 from Jeanne Blackmon.

First Baptist Church Falkville extends belated birthday wishes to Anita Rowe Aug. 13, Brieanna Mitchell Aug. 15 and Beth Rowe Powell Aug. 16.

Falkville Blue Devils football team will open their season Aug. 22 at home.

Falkville High School has released its football schedule for the 2013-2014 school year. It is as follows:
