What is God’s Love?

Webster’s Dictionary defines love as a profoundly tender passionate affection for another person or a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection. What is love to you? I’m sure if you were to talk to several folks, each one would give you a different answer. Do you ever feel that no one loves you? I John 4:10 tells us: Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins. Love explains #1 why God creates, because He loves, He creates people to love. #2 Why does God care? Because He loves us, He cares for us, even when we sin. #3 Why did Christ die for us? because His love for us caused him to find a solution to the problem of sin; and lastly why should we receive eternal life? because His love expresses itself to us forever.

So, what is love? God is love and He’s always pouring out that love on you and me. So the next time that you feel alone and think that no one loves you, remember God loves you!
