Local group enjoys ‘The Miracle Worker’

Mary Alice Nelson, June Graham, Dana Schrimsher and Caleb Fields were in Tuscumbia recently to see the play “The Miracle Worker” at Ivy Green. They ate at Rocking Chair Restaurant. This restaurant was the favorite restaurant of Caleb’s late mother, Jane Nelson Fields, when she attended college at UNA.

Belated birthday wishes to Mary Alice Nelson. Her special day was July 13.

Dewayne and Carol Bennich celebrated their wedding anniversary July 19.

Get well wishes are extended to Barbara Ward and Austin Hicks from members of Gandy’s Cove United Methodist Church.

Happy birthday wishes are extended to Sue Harrison. Her special day was July 28. Wishes are sent from her sister-in-law, Adell Gibson.

Happy wedding anniversary to O’Neal and Margaret Murphy on July 31.

Special guest at Falkville Senior Center last Wednesday was Floyd Bradford’s Band. After the band played, they ate lunch with the group.

Members of Falkville Senior Center ate lunch at Brechtel’s July 11. Among those enjoying the meal and fellowship were Martha Garrison, Charles and Linda Williams and Jackie Turney, Carl Cole, Bobby and Linda Ball, Barbara Asherbranner, Terry and Jeannie Kelsey, Patsy Clemmons and Martha Asherbranner.

Ron Jones was host at a surprise birthday party for his wife Lou Jones at their Decatur home last Wednesday night. Guests were family members of the honoree. They included Lavonis Bryan and friend, Geraldine McKenzie, Dean Nelson, Brownie and Peggy Nelson, Billy and Patricia Bryan, Alford and Linda Bryan, Keith and Becky Bryan, Reba Pevahouse, Kerry Jones and his son, Ryan, of Birmingham and Charlie and Shirley Brothers.
