Seven arrested during incident in Baileyton

 

Sheriff Ana Franklin reports that Fri., June 21, Patrol Deputies responded to a call in the 600 Block of Double S Mountian Road in Baileyton area of Morgan County, sometime around 9 p.m. in reference to an assaulted subject.

Deputies made contact with Justin Blake Sanford, 23, who was highly intoxicated on some type of controlled substance. Deputies found approximately .6 grams of “ICE” crystal methamphetamine along with a syringe on Sanford.

arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.His bond wasset at $3,100.

Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents was called to the scene and during

investigation, Agents and Deputies made contact with Stevus Goble, 26, Derek Ladon Hayes, 30, and Krista Owens, 33, leaving in a vehicle from a residence located at 613 Double S Mountain Rd. During the investigation, officers learned that Goble and Hayes had outstanding felony warrants

for their arrest out of Arab Police Department.

Agents located approximately 20.6 grams of “ICE” crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $1,000 in the cab of vehicle being driven by Goble along with prescription medication in plastic baggies. Hayes was in possession of $1,300 cash.

Goble, Hayes and Owens were arrested and each charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a controlled substance – Clonazepam 1 mg. Bonds for each were set at $5,000.

During interview an with arrested subjects, agents learned that there was possible stolen property at the residence. Agents notified deputies, who returned to residence around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with four more individuals, two of which attempted to flee the scene. Deputies located a cloth bag that contained approximately 17.6 grams of “ICE” crystal methamphetamine, with an approximate street value of $800. Deputies made contact with Reana Maze, 44, Kenneth Callahan, 46, Brendon Dotson, 31, and Sarah Burks, 29.

Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents arrived on scene and located felony drug paraphernalia inside the residence, associated in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. It was undetermined at this time if any of the property at the residence was in fact stolen. Investigators have been notified and are following up on information.

Maze was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia. Their bond set at $2,500.00.

Both Callahan and Dotson were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. Their bonds were set at $2,500 each.
