Williams, Cross to wed

John Ronal Cross III and Mary Caitlin Williams

Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie J. Williams are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Caitlin Williams, to John Ronal “Hunter” Cross III, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ronal “Bo” Cross II.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Imogene “Sally” Williams and the late J.D. Williams of Somerville, and the late Gordon Dean Carroll and Donna Mae Carroll of Decatur.

Miss Williams is a 2007 graduate of Priceville High School. She received an associate’s degree in general studies and played softball for Wallace State Community College from 2007-2009 where she met the prospective groom. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville on May 4, 2013.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ray and Jane Sheffield of Grove Hill and Beck Cross and the late John Ronal “Ronnie” Cross of Mobile.

Mr. Cross is a 2008 graduate of Clarke County High School. He received an associate’s degree in general studies and played baseball for Wallace State Community College from 2008-2010. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Auburn University in May of 2012. He is currently employed at Gulf Coast Truck and Equipment in Pine Hill, a business his great-grandfather, Terry “T.A.” Cross began in 1942.

The wedding ceremony and reception is planned for Sept. 14, 2013, at Oak Island Antebellum Weddings on Lay Lake in Wilsonville. Mr. Barry Sempsrott of Grace River Church of God in Decatur will officiate the ceremony.
