Funeral for Betty Sue Penwell, 74, of Falkville was Wed., Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Alred officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Ms. Penwell died Sun., Sept. 26, 2010, at her residence. She was born April 11, 1936, in Morgan County to Ira “Tom” Evon Penwell and Vergie Brown Penwell. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to crochet and crafts and loved music, singing and playing guitar. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Strickland and Monte Brown.
She is survived by three daughters, Debra Strick land, Cindy Brown and Glenda Anders, all of Falkville; a brother, Roy Penwell and wife Sandy of Lebanon, Ohio; three sisters, Gretchen Moore and husband Jim and Pat Phillips, all of Akron, Ohio and Linda Holmes and husband Jerry of Falkville; three grandchildren, Jeremy McNutt, Emily Tillman and Desiree Anders; and six great-grandchildren, Alyssa McNutt, Dakota Hill, Casey Cook, Tori McNutt, McKenzie Tillman and Landon Wilhite.
Pallbearers were David Garrison, Dell Moore, Buck Anders, Jeremy McNutt, Jerry Holmes and DeWayne Lauderdale.
The family expresses a special thank you to Hospice of the Valley.
