Alice Ioway Keeton Day

Funeral for Alice Ioway Keeton Day, 84, of Somerville will be Thur. (today), Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Ronnie Bullard, Lynn Morgan Sr. and Curtis Stanford officiating.
Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery in Flint.
Mrs. Day died Mon., Sept. 20, 2010, at her residence. She was born July 8, 1926, in Morgan County to Lee Denton Keeton and Zula Jane Anderton Keeton. She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chadwick Kenneth Day Sr.; her parents; and three sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Marcie Jane Bullard and husband Ronnie of Somerville; two sons, Chadwick Day Jr. and wife Gail of Somerville and Richard Day Sr. and wife Donna of Lester; grandchildren, Marla Bullard Morgan and husband Lynn Jr. and Amy Day Motes and husband Jon, all of Somerville, Richard “Andy” Day Jr. and wife Arreanna of Deatsville, Brandon Day of Decatur and Matthew Day of Lester; and a brother, L.D. Keeton Jr. and wife Joan of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bullard, Chadwick Day Jr., Richard Day Sr., Lynn Morgan Jr., Jon Motes, Andrew Day Jr., Brandon Day and Matthew Day.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Clark Andrew Day, Jensen William Day and John Wesley Motes.
A special thank you to the extended family and friends who ministered to her and her family and to the staff of Hartselle Medical Center and Hospice of the Valley.
