Henry Truel Warren

Funeral for Henry Truel Warren, 87, of Danville was Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Trotter officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Warren died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Lawrence County to Martin Henry Warren and Grace Ellen Parker Warren. He was a farmer, a homebuilder and a Christian. His greatest joy in life was spending time on his farm in Danville with his late wife of 64 years, Louise Blackwood Warren and his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lonnie Warren.
He is survived by a son, Jerry Warren and wife Tammy of Huntsville; two daughters, Shirley Johnson and husband Don of Somerville and Jennifer Hames and husband Rick of Danville; a brother, Ray Ellis Warren of Danville; nine grandchildren, Todd Davis, Jessica Holmes and husband Jeremy, Matt Holmes and wife Haley, Jeanna Balestreri and husband Tom, Jerrod Warren, Michell Warren. Dylan Warren, Andy Johnson and wife Kara and Jason Johnson and wife Arlana; and seven great-grandchildren, Caleb Davis, Rachel Davis, Tristan Holmes, Samuel Hames, Ella Grace Johnson, Sonny Johnson and Madelyn Hames.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
The family extends a special thank you to his caregivers, Jack Harvey and the staff of Summerford Nursing Home.
