Susie Mae Carter

Funeral for Susie Mae Carter, 84, of Roswell, NM was Friday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel in Roswell.with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
Burial was in South Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born April 22, 1926, in Hartselle, AL to Noah Webster and Hattie Carter Webster. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sons, Kenneth Murray, Scottie Murray and Ray Murray. She moved to Roswell from Alabama in 1963
She was of the Baptist faith and really enjoyed embroidering and making quilts until her eyesight forced her to quit.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Murray and wife Nancy  and Steven Murray and wife Barbara, all of Roswell NM; six daughters, Sandra Eckert of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Jerry Mayberry and husband Jim and Pat Tarvin, all of Roswell, NM, Martha Terry and husband Steve of Lovington, NM, Connie Braggs and husband Robert of Dexter, NM, and Barbara Sisneros and husband Joe of Rogers, AR; three brothers, Harold Webster, Noah Webster and wife Peggy and Bobby Webster and wife Barbara, all of Hartselle; three sisters, Marie Breeding of Michigan and Nora Kilpatrick and Wilda Kelley, both of Hartselle; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Briggs, Robert Briggs, Michael Briggs, Dustin Briggs, Jerry Stafford and Jimmy Webster.
