Hartselle swept by Athens … again

Tigers fall to 9-7 with loss, 0-3 in Region play

The Hartselle Tigers led for 27 seconds Friday night. That's 27 seconds longer than the team did the first go around with the Golden Eagles.
Hartselle fell to 9-7 with a 77-62 loss to Athens. Prior to the Christmas break, Hartselle fell to then top-ranked and undefeated Athens.
The Lady Tigers also fell, 73-32.
Athens 77, Hartselle 62
A 9-0 run midway through the first quarter gave Athens a 17-7 advantage. A jumper by Tyler Reeves and back-to-back three pointers by Zac Ward cut the Golden Eagles' lead to 17-15 with 7:42 remaining in the first half.
Athens responded with another run, this time a 10-0 rally to take a 27-15 lead.
