Funeral for Randy Long, 44, of Hartselle was Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. J.B. Snyder and Marty Steelmon officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Long died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at his residence. A native of Michigan, he was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran and a draftsman at General Electric. He was a member of Austinville First Baptist Church. He coached baseball for the Priceville Community Recreation Association and was a member of the Priceville Booster Club.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Long of Hartselle; one son, Wesley Long of Hartselle; one daughter, Ashley Long of Hartselle; his mother, Lucille Long of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, John Long of Somerville; and two sisters, Lavonda Lang of Somerville and Cathy Weiss of Charlotte, N.C.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Lang, Kenny Lang, Sonny Smith, Jason Myers, Nick League and Steve Brakfield.
The Priceville A's baseball team were honorary pallbearers.
