Paul E. Sparkman

A graveside service for Paul E. Sparkman, 87, of Decatur was Saturday, July 31, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor David Lowery officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Sparkman died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at his residence.
He was born September 27, 1922, in Morgan County to James Earl Sparkman and Annie Geneva Thrasher Sparkman. He was a member of 5th Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur. He retired from Ingalls Iron Works and later retired from Johnny Austin Furniture.
He is survived by two sons, James Paul Sparkman and wife Kim of Hartselle and Ronald James Sparkman of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Zachary Sparkman, Kyle Beaver, Danny Barnwell and Ken Tolbert.
