Tigers sweep West Point

Hartselle defeated area opponent West Point 10-0, 9-7 in a doubleheader Tuesday.

Chris Brown hit a walk off, two-run home run to clinch the second game in the eighth inning.

He had another two-run homer in the nightcap and finished with five RBIs for the game.

Tanner Oakes, who played at leadoff for the game, had a pair of hits and two runs scored.

Dakota Fowler earned the win, allowing no earned runs in five innings of work. He scattered six hits and had five strikeouts.

Brady Wallace started the game, allowing three earned runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

In the first game, Aaron Lamb, Easton Chenault, Brett Blackwood and Brown all had two hits in the Tigers’ 10-0 win.

Blackwood had a pair of home runs with four RBIs. Lamb and Chenault had two RBIs each.

Colton Ord pitched four perfect innings with six strikeouts to get the win. He also had a double at the plate. Levi Tapscott pitched the other inning allowing a hit and a walk.
