Lady Bulldogs win one, lose two

Priceville’s Lady Bulldogs lost to Ardmore, 13-2, on March 14 and split with Walker County, 11-9 15-12, in a doubleheader on March 15. All of the games were played at home.

Ardmore out-hit Priceville 13 to six in Friday’s contest.

The Lady Bulldogs had two hits and a run scored from McKenzie Parker, three hits from B. Marks and a hit from Emily Williams.

E. Payne was the losing pitcher. She went six innings, allowing 13 runs on 10 hits while striking out four and walking nine batters.

Priceville pulled off an 11-9 win over Walker County in the first game of a doubleheader at home on Saturday.

Emily Williams paced the Lady Bulldogs at the plate with three hits, three RBIs and scored a run. Alison Varner had two hits, two RBIs and scored two runs, Amber Johnson had two hits, an RBI and scored two runs and Abby St John, Kayla Parton, Kenzie Price, Erin Payne and Maggie Yambrek each had a hit.

St. John was the winning pitcher. She allowed nine runs on 11 hits while striking out three and walking six in five innings of work. Payne pitched two innings in relief, allowing two hits.

Walker County won the second game 15-12 on the strength of a 15-hit attack. The Lady Bulldogs had 11 hits.

Johnson paced the Lady Bulldogs at the plate with four hits and four RBIs. St. John had two hits, two RBIs and scored two runs. Marks had two hits and scored two runs and Varner, A Law and H. Owens each singled.

Varner was the losing pitcher. She allowed seven runs on three hits while striking out one and walking seven in two innings. Payne relieved in the third and allowed eight runs and walked two.
