Oden Ridge News

On a recent Sunday, Al and I were invited to the home of Clois Driver in Hartselle for the Driver family reunion. Also invited were other friends and old school pals. We enjoyed seeing Charles Driver and wife Marlene of Hartselle, Elaine Driver Porter of Georgia, Eliz-abeth Wood and Michelle Westmorland, both of Eva. They were all old school friends of mine. Some members of Elaine’s family were also there.  They were Candice Jones and Carlie, Trey Reagan and Dewanda.
Others present were Jim and Teresa McComsughy, Vera Thomas, Lucille Williams Treula Biggers, all of Missouri, Robert and Elizabeth and Anelorya. Gary and Donna Jo Hawkins and Malcolm and Diane Sybert,  Thomas and Margaret Teague, all of Hartselle, Ricky and Laura Driver, Junior and Ruby Porter, Mikey, Bernice and Audra Driver, Milford Long, Cusonna, Josh, Nicholas Driver, Ellen Lewis, Butch, Diane and Kathy, Betty and Anthony and Jane Brown Legg, all of Hartselle, Fred and Bobbie White of Danville, Sheree Driver of Decatur, Mitchell, Linda and Ervin Driver of Somerville and Rebecca Eidson of Eva.

We were so sorry to hear that Oden Ridge lost Paul Shelton on Thursday night. Our prayers go out to the family.
My children lost their dad, Noah Simmons , on Tuesday. Remember them in your prayers.
Also remember my great grandson, 12-year-old Chase Jesse, who has cancer.
Our good friend, Herbert Oden, was in the hospital with double pneumonia but is home now and doing better.
I want to thank Lydia Hudson, her sister and mother. They brought loads of food for our family Wednesday and Friday nights after their father died. They will be blessed for their kindness.
Journey Church had a spaghetti lunch on Sunday as a fundraiser for a trip the youth are taking.
