Junior and Helen Taylor of Neel celebrated their  23rd wedding anniversary July 25. Best wishes for a happy day and many more years together.

Shady Grove Baptist Church members express Christian love and prayers for the following: Jeremy Lacy, Yinnie Jones, Ilene Dialak, Stewart Terry, Brad Turrentine, Lynn Montgomery, Stephanie and Mary Kathryn Carroll, Sally Owen, Shirley Bibb, Erline Ballew, Barbara Gillespie, Eddie Dotson, J.W. Franklin, and George Jr.
Christian love and prayers go out to the following shut-ins, and nursing home residents: Ray Edwards, John and Jewel Hughes, Polly Callahan, Ruby McCay, Mattie Lou Long, David and Bertie Townsend, Docia Collins, Laura Terry, Jim McAbee, Jeanette Martin, Marvo-lene Herbert.
Prayers are also requested this week for the family of David Lyell Sr. who passed away last week.
I want to ask everyone to please say a prayer for our troops and their familie. Hopefully, some day soon we will know world peace again.
I am so thankful to be living in America where we still have the freedom to worship and own our own homes. I thank God for being blessed so much and for the opportunity to call America my home. May God bless all of you.

The Women’s Conference at Shady Grove Baptist Church was attended by about 100 ladies from a dozen different churches, Guest speaker was Carrie McDonald. According to those in attendance, she was a very interesting speaker who touched the hearts of everyone.
I want to ask for special prayers this week for Bobby who has cancer and will be starting his treatments soon.
