Hartselle 15-11, Decatur 0-1

Hartselle took advantage of 23 hits in the two games to blast rival Decatur in a doubleheader.

In the first game, Chris Brown hit a 3-run home run to help break the game open.

Easton Chenault, Brett Blackwood and Aaron Lamb all had two hits apiece. Aaron Lamb had two RBIs and a double. Tyler Phillips also had a solo homer.

Daniel Conley, Blackwood and Chenault all had two RBIs. The Tigers nine stolen bases. Blackwood and Lamb had two stolen bases each. Deacon Aldridge, Phillips, Zane Hamlett and Conley had a stolen base each.

Chenault, Blackwood and Hamlett all turned double plays.

Tillman Landers had three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings of work to get the win. Jake Whitt also had a strikeout in one inning of work.

In game two, Dakota Fowler pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts to earn the win. Brady Wallace also three strikeouts in two innings of work. Levi Tapscott also pitched a scoreless inning to end the game.

Aldridge had three hits, a double, three stolen bases and an RBI. Blackwood added two more hits with a double and an RBI.

Chenault, Brown, Phillips and Tanner Oakes hit doubles. Hamlett had two RBIs while Chenault, Brown, Phillips and Conley all had one RBI.
