Hartselle singer takes part in concert
Wallace State music student held their fall recital recently at the Wallace State Recital Hall.
About 30 students – including a Hartselle resident – enrolled in private instruction with music department instructors Karen Comer, Michael Sparks and Ricky Burks participated in the recital.
"The recital gives students in private instruction a chance to show their accomplishments at the end of the semester," said Music Department chairman Robert Bean.
"We have excellent instructors in our department. Karen Comer has really developed our recital series into an wonderful event for all involved-students and audience," he said.
Among those performing was John Steele of Hartselle. He sang "Bright is the Ring of Words" by Vaughn.
Teachers honored at Danville-Neel
Revenia Thompson, a Title One Teacher, has been chosen as Danville-Neel Elementary School's "Teacher of the Month" for December.
Also, Marilyn Melson and Katie Ledlow, preschool instructional assistants, were chosen "Support Persons of the Month" for December.
